Fundraising and Communications Manager - Cardiff

Clear Choice Recruitment are working with an incredible children’s charity based in Cardiff. They have an immediate requirement for an experienced Charity Fundraiser or an experienced Fundraising Manager to join their team.

You will manage, develop, and deliver fundraising and external communications to a high standard, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities. You will grow the fundraising income and build their audience of friends, ambassadors and supporters, meeting organisational fundraising targets and helping them to develop a sound financial platform.

Responsibilities

• Devise a fundraising and communications strategy (in conjunction with senior management) to grow the Charity’s reach, strengthen relationships and build new support.
• Manage the delivery of the fundraising and communications strategy, meeting agreed targets.
• Plan, manage and implement fundraising projects and events, using effective project management methodology.
• Provide support to and manage volunteer Ambassadors.
• Produce and manage fundraising income and expenditure budgets, including budgets for events, in conjunction with the Finance Manager and senior team.
• Meeting income generation targets as agreed with the Board and CEO, through a diverse mix of fundraising streams:

• Trusts and Foundations
• Major donors
• Individual giving and appeals
• Events and challenges
• Corporate support and partnerships
• Legacies
• Gift Aid
• Fundraising enquiries
• Communications and marketing

 Requirements

• A proven track record of managing the growth of income streams and successfully meeting targets.
• Knowledge and experience of delivering effective communication to build audiences, e.g., through newsletters, webpages, social media platforms, PR.
• Experience of management and leadership on communication, engagement, and fundraising within a charitable organisation.
• Strong IT and digital skills including CRM database, MS365 including SharePoint and Teams, Social Media Channels, Word Press.
• Excellent ability to creatively write a range of materials suitable for different audiences and present it in an engaging and appropriate form.
• Proven ability to engage, persuade, inspire, and support people to undertake fundraising activities.
• Target-focused with proven experience in delivering to income targets.
