We are currently recruiting for an extremely important role for a company who are specialist suppliers into the construction industry. They are seeking an experienced National Sales & Commercial Manager who has significant experience within the Construction or Builders Merchant Industry.

 

You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies and programs that promote revenue growth and customer satisfaction for the company at a national level. Overseeing the sales team, building relationships with Key Accounts and analysing market trends to identify opportunities for growth.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute the company’s sales strategies and programs at a national level to achieve revenue targets and business goals.
  • Lead and manager the sales team, providing coaching, guidance and support to ensure Area Technical Manager’s targets are met and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts ensuring customer satisfaction, retention and loyalty.
  • Monitor weekly reports and produce monthly management reports.
  • Identify, analyse and communicate market trends, customer needs and competitive activity to the sales and marketing department to develop strategies.
  • Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to improve sales productivity and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and report on sales metrics to measure the effectiveness of sales strategies and programs.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement pricing strategies, marketing programs and product development initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices and regularly requirements that may impact the business.
  • Managing the key account relationships with clients, main contractors and specifiers operating in target market.
  • Assist in the building of project and contact database of the UK target market.
  • Proactive in finding new project opportunities and tracking these from feasibility to completion.
  • Forecasting sales and maximizing project values.
  • Writing market reports, specifications, presentations and supporting correspondence.
  • Assisting with the induction training of new starters.
  • Complete outlook calendar.
  • Complete Weekly and Monthly Reports.
  • Achieving KPI`s in line with sales plan.
  • Monthly Mileage form to be completed at the end of the month and given to accounts.
  • Other duties to be allocated as/when required in line with the operation of the business.
