We have an exciting opportunity to work with a Global design and manufacturing business who serve some of the largest brands in the world. This is an exciting new role where you will be part of the Purchasing team in both a strategic and operation support role. The main responsibility of the role will be to provide purchasing and planning support globally for the range of finished goods and spare parts for our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with direct procurement of materials to meet cost, sales and production requirements.
  • Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet forecasting goals, production requirements and minimum safety stock levels.
  • Work with logistics to control material deliveries from the suppliers to production.
  • Communicating supply shortfalls and investigate contingency plans.
  • Reviewing the weekly, monthly sales and production plans and work collaboratively with the regional teams to ensure materials are available to meet the demand.
  • Reviewing stock holding / MOQ with suppliers to ensure lead time and purchases can be scheduled accordingly.
  • Manage the ERP system and supply chain performance parameters such as OTD, lead times, minimum order quantities and safety stock levels.
  • Work with the engineering team on NPI projects and design change initiatives
  • Flexible approach to the business requirements as we drive transformation 

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in MS office applications, specifically excel to intermediate level (pivot tables, data management, vlookups & logic statements).
  • Organised with an attention to detail.
  • ERP system experienced (SAP preferred) in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • HNC level in a technical field or 3 years’ experience in a similar or multiple roles
